There are some shows that you start
watching with a biased opinion but still you watch them because you
have no particular expectation. I realise now that the serie The 100
and I started off on the wrong foot.
Now that the show is achieving success,
I think it's time to silence a few rumours. Like many people I
thought this serie was aimed at teenagers or young-adults, with a
romance more important than a plot. How could you expect anything
different when a scenario being sold as « it's a story about a 100 teenagers sent to Earth » ?
As you figured it out, I was wrong. Do
not rely on the first episodes, because (eventhough they are good)
they show a simplistic image of the serie. If you don't get into the
first episode, hang on because this show is worth it. It rocks !
Unless other series that I shall not cite (Game of Thrones), it
continues to move forward, evolve etc... Complete changes are made
between each season and you can only get addicted.

Synospsis :
97 years after a nuclear holocaust
destroyed the Earth, the remaining humang beings live in a
space-station called the Ark. However, the oxygen forecast turns to
be wrong. Only one solution : tehy have to go back to Earth. But
how do you know if it is survivable ?
Chancelor Jaha decides to send a
hundred teen delinquents (because on the station any adult considered
guilty is kicked out in space) on the ground to learn about the life
conditions. Those teenagers, risking their lives, have a second
chance to live.
Among them, we follow the story of
Clarke Griffins, Wells Jaha, Octavia Blake, Finn Collins and many
others. Their only goal : survive.

people

What's more to know :
To adapt a book on screen has been very
fashionable those past years (Ok you must be thinking that i has
always been the case, but now everytime I pick up a book it gets made
into a movie or a serie). Here it's important to remark that yes
there is a book (The 100 by Kass Morgan) but it wasn't out before the
serie. Indeed, what is incredible is that The 100 project came in two
parts : the serie and a book. So they have the same original
idea but were created separately.
For those wondering about the common
features and the differences between the two, do not worry I'm
writing an article about it.
